Christine and Nigel both originally starred on Too Hot to Handle. Christine was originally a contestant on Too Hot to Handle Season 5, where she was a finalist and ended up with with Louis Russell. (The two confirmed their breakup in the Season 5 reunion.) Nigel, for his part, competed on Too Hot to Handle Season 4, where he was also a finalist but left the show single.

Christine and Nigel were one of five couples in The Perfect Match Season 2 finale, along with Tolu Ekundare and Chris Hahn; Elys Hutchinson and Bryton Constantin; Micah Lussier and Kaz Bishop; and Stevan Ditter and Alara Taneri. Their win, which was voted on by the cast, came as an upset to fans, given that Christine and Nigel didn’t match until the Season 2 finale. In comparison, Stevan and Alara, who were the fan favorites to win, had been matched since Episode 3.

It’s unclear when they broke up, but Christine and Nigel at least stayed together long enough to take their all-expenses paid trip to Thailand, which they won in The Perfect Match Season 2 finale. Christine seemed to stop liking Nigel’s posts around January 2024, though they both still follow each other on Instagram, at the time of writing. Nigel and Christine also haven’t confirmed the reason for their breakup, however, based on why past Perfect Match couples split, it’s likely that they ended their relationship in part due to distance. Christine is from Texas, while Nigel is from New Jersey.

Christine also confirmed in an interview with “ The Wayne Ayers Podcast ” in 2023 that long distance played a part in her split with her Too Hot to Handle Season 5 ex, Louis, though there were also other reasons for their breakup. “Distance definitely did play a role. Age played a role. At the time, he was 20 and I was 24. And then I don’t know, I don’t feel like we connected the way that we connected in the villa. When the outside forces come into play and other things, it just didn’t work out,” she said.
