Taylor Swift was visibly upset when Scooter Braun purchased her masters in 2019, but it appears that her family may have financially benefited from the transaction.

The two-part documentary, Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood, which delves into Taylor's feud with Scooter , was released on June 21. When Scooter bought the Big Machine record label , he also acquired the rights to Taylor's masters for her first six albums.

The first episode presents Taylor's perspective, while the second portrays Scooter in a more positive light. In the second episode, some of the commentators shared details that might not be widely known among those who haven't been closely following the saga.

Journalist and author Zing Tsjeng revealed to the camera: "What was less reported at the time that she signed to Big Machine is that her dad also purchased a stake in Big Machine. So he purchased a reported 3% stake for the cost of something around $120,000 which meant that Taylor's dad was also involved in the running of Big Machine as a minority shareholder.", reports the Mirror .

Scott Swift, Taylor's father, who was a banker for Merrill Lynch, bought the share when Taylor was signed to the record label. Therefore, when the label was sold, Scott profited.

Neama Rahmani, legal analyst and author, spilled the tea: "What's interesting is that it's revealed that Scott Swift made $15.1 million when Big Machine was sold to Scooter Braun."

This juicy tidbit casts doubt on Taylor's past statements. Taylor had insisted she was left in the dark about the chance to snag her masters before Scooter Braun swooped in. But court docs from Scott Borchetta allegedly suggest otherwise.

"This adds a new dimension and people ask how could it be possible that Taylor didn't know what was happening when her father was a shareholder of the Big Machine? " Neama pondered aloud.

Taylor shared a statement with the series: "Taylor has completely moved on from this saga and has turned what started out as an extreme situation into one of the most fulfilling creative endeavors of her life. None of these men will ever be able to take away from Taylor's legacy as a songwriter, singer, director, philanthropist, and advocate for artists' rights."
