Angel Reese Gives Chennedy Carter New Nickname Before Fever-Sky
By Eric Smithling,

Angel Reese dropped a new nickname for teammate Chennedy Carter ahead of the hyped third regular season meeting between the Sky and the Caitlin Clark-led Indiana Fever.
"That's the Chen to the Barbie," Reese told reporters before the game, alluding to her own "Barbie" nickname while playing off the Ken doll in crafting Carter's moniker.
With their start together, Reese and Carter might one day be as iconic as Barbie and Ken.
Reese set a WNBA rookie record for most consecutive double-doubles (seven) in her last outing, while Carter is shooting a career-best 54.4 percent from the court, the league's 10th best rate.
"I love Chennedy so much. She brings so much energy. She's probably the faster player I've ever played with in the league," Reese continued when discussing Carter's impact.
The Fever and the Sky face off on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The two Sky stars have been at the center of two tough basketball plays against Fever guard Caitlin Clark, who they play on Sunday afternoon.
In the team's first meeting, Carter's third-quarter foul on Clark caused a media firestorm, and the WNBA later upgraded the foul to a flagrant-1.
Last Sunday, Reese received a flagrant-1 upon video review on a foul against Clark.
This season, Reese and Carter are second and third on the Sky in scoring. Carter is averaging 13.7 points per games in just 21 minutes per game, while Reese is averaging 12.4 points and a league-high 4.9 offensive rebounds per game.
