    Showers, thunderstorms expected late Monday

    The National Weather Service office in Duluth has issued a hazardous weather warning for northern Minnesota and Wisconsin, with heavy rain and severe thunderstorms in the evening forecast that could produce large hail, damaging winds and possible tornadoes. Price County should expect late night thunderstorms and the potential for further rain this week.

    The Monday forecast for Price County shows increasing clouds, with a high near 80 degrees, and aight south wind, increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

    On Monday night there is a 60% chance of showers and heavy rainfall and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., severe in some areas, that could produce a half to three-quarters of an inch with patchy fog between 1 and 2 a.m. The low temperature should be around 63 degrees with a south wind of 5 to 10 mph, and gusts as high as 20 mph.

    On Tuesday it should be mostly sunny, with a high near 81 degrees and a west wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. On Tuesday night expect it to be mostly clear, with a low around 51 degrees.

    On Wednesday it should be mostly sunny, with a high near 68 degrees and a north wind around 5 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. On Wednesday night it should be mostly clear, with a low around 46 degree with a calm north wind of around 5 mph.

    On Thursday there is a slight chance of showers after 1 p.m., with a high near 72 degrees. On Thursday night there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, followed by a chance of showers after 1 a.m. The low will be around 56 degrees with a south wind of 5 to 10 mph, and gusts as high as 20 mph.

    Showers are likely on Friday, with thunderstorms also possible after 1 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy with a high near 71 degrees and a south wind of around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. On Friday night there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 a.m., with a low around 56 degrees.

    There is a slight chance of showers on Saturday, with a high near 68 degrees and a west wind of 5 to 10 mph, and gusts as high as 20 mph. On Saturday night it should be mostly clear, with a low around 45 degrees and a northwest wind of 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph.

    Sunday should be sunny, with a high near 69 degrees and a calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the morning.
