Morgan Wade’s upcoming album, “Obsessed”, due out on August 16, 2024, has fans anxiously awaiting its release. “Obsessed” features fourteen stripped-down tracks with authentic, raw, and powerful songwriting. This album has everything from honest, soul-baring ballads to stouthearted anthems.
Wade collaborates with Kesha on the track “Walked on Water.”
Inspiration for “Obsessed” comes from her candid and open struggles with mental health, past relationships, sobriety, and drowning out tabloid scrutiny. Instead of allowing the negative effects of it all, she fearlessly dove into her vulnerabilities, and the result is a captivating, raw exemplification of songwriting, storytelling, and vocals.
While most people take time off touring to make an album, Wade chose another route. While on tour, she made her new album, “Obsessed,” produced by her touring guitarist, Clint Wells.
Wade does a lot of things her own way. She released "Wilder Days" in 2021 and in ways it told her own story. She is now five years sober and had some "Wilder Days" in her past. She is known for her tattoos and distinctive style. She's not afraid to talk about those "Wilder Days" that included a lot of alcohol and substance abuse. She hopes that by being open about her own struggles that others will know they are not alone.
Wade has her own blend and style of music. While “Obsessed” is country, she also blends in some rock and Americana, giving the album something for everyone.
