The national media is pretty cised for Jayden Daniels, it seems, which is news to just about everyone’s ears in the DMV football landscape – especially the Junks.

ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler said Saturday that he has sources who think Daniels and the Commanders could be ‘scary’ in 2024, as Daniels had ‘a strong spring and there is definite buzz league-wide, with multiple scouts and executives bringing up Daniels unprompted.’

“I did place a wager that he will have four total touchdowns in the first two weeks,” Cakes said, so he’s on the hype train.

“I wanna jump on Jayden for Rookie of the Year, especially if it’s enticing,” EB shot back, with Bish eventually finding those odds at +650.

Of course, the Fowler report did mention the offensive line could hold Daniels back, but…

“I saw a picture of Sam Hartman at a mall or something with a Jayden Daniels jersey,” JP said, which led the guys into discussing Brandon Aiyuk once again and trying to parlay JD as ROY with the US to beat Panama in Copa America this week…

So is life with the Junkies, but it came back around.

“If Jayden is scary, it’s going to be a really good year,” Bish said.

“The logic that they're using is he's a great runner, but more importantly, he's more polished as a passer than any of these recent guys that have come out,” EB said. “Hurts wasn’t considered a great passer when he came into the league, and Daniels is ahead of where he was. I know Lamar wasn't considered a great passer when he came into the league. From a dual-threat perspective, he might be the most complete in recent years – you could consider Mahomes, but he only runs when he has to.”

“His credentials are great, his resume is excellent, and what you're hearing about him is great,” JP said, “but as Jason likes to say, the proof will be in the pudding.”
