2 arrested in connection with Marlboro County mob assault

MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A pair of brothers are facing assault charges after Marlboro County authorities said they beat a man last week.

Marquis and Naquan Collins were both charged with second-degree assault and released on $5,000 bonds.

Deputies said the men went to a Bennettsville home on Friday and attacked a man who they earlier engaged in a verbal confrontation.

Marquis Collins was arrested on Sunday and Nathan Collins turned himself in to authorities in Dillon, who transferred him to Marlboro County.
