This is the world’s best airline of 2024, declared by the ‘Oscars of the aviation industry’

The airline you choose to fly can make or break your travel experience. Luckily, one airline has been named the best by this year’s Skytrax Awards, so you know what your top choice should be.
This is the eighth time the airline was voted for the coveted title in the 25-year history of the awards , which are widely regarded as “the Oscars of the aviation industry.”

“This is a proud Qatar Airways moment and it is my honor to share this award with my hardworking colleagues. This award is testimony to our relentless dedication to providing unparalleled service and innovation. We look forward to more wins in the future,” Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Qatar Airways group CEO, said in a statement.
Qatar Airways also nabbed the top spots for the World’s Best Business Class, the World’s Best Business Class Lounge and the Best Airline in the Middle East.
The airline flies to Australia, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America and South America and is known for its on-board focus on comfort, fine cuisine and the latest in-flight audio and video entertainment.
Last year’s winner for Airline of the Year, Singapore Airlines, came in second in the world this year, while Emirates in third out of the 350 airlines included.
For 2024, Singapore Airlines took the top awards for the World’s Best Cabin Staff, World’s Best First and the Best Airline in Asia.

Delta Air Lines received the award for Best Airline in North America, as well as the Best Airline Staff Service for North America. Allegiant Air got the award for the Best Low-Cost Airline in North America for the first time.
Other top awards included AirAsia as the repeat winner — every year since 2010 — of the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline award; Scoot as the World’s Best Long Haul Low-Cost Airline; British Airways as the World’s Most Family Friendly Airline; Cathay Pacific as the World’s Best Economy Class and Japan Airlines as the World’s Best Premium Economy Class.
