Passenger killed during two-vehicle crash in Eastland County

EASTLAND COUNTY, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – A passenger was killed during a two-vehicle crash in Eastland County Monday morning.

Brenda Lucas was pronounced dead at the hospital following the crash on FM 2214 south of Eastland around 11:00 a.m., according to a crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The press release states an SUV that was traveling south down the road when crossed the center line in a no passing zone and struck Lucas’ vehicle, which was traveling north.

Lucas was a passenger in the vehicle that was struck. Both drivers involved sustained minor injuries and have been treated and released.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
