Summer meals free for students to pick up

The Dorchester County Public Schools is participating in the 2024 Summer Food Service Program. DCPS will serve free grab and go breakfast and lunch meals to all youth ages18 and under at Cambridge South Dorchester High School from 10-11 a.m. on Thursdays beginning June 27 through Aug. 22 with the exception of July 4 which will be handed out on July 3.

Other sites in Dorchester County can be found by putting your location into https://mdsummermeals.org Meals will also be provided to all children who are attending summer school without charge. The plan is to serve breakfast and lunch meals on Mondays through Thursdays. Meal service will begin on Monday, July 8 and end on Thursday, Aug. 1. The self-preparation program will operate from the following schools:

Sandy Hill Elementary School, 1503 Glasgow Street, Cambridge

Hurlock Elementary School, 301 Charles Street, Hurlock

North Dorchester Middle School, 5745 Cloverland Road, Hurlock

Maces Lane Middle School, 1101 Maces Lane, Cambridge

Cambridge South Dorchester High School, 2475 Cambridge Beltway, Cambridge
