    Retired K-9 of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office passes away

    FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WVNS) — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office recently lost a member of their team.

    According to Sheriff Mike Fridley, retired K-9 Java of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office passed away. Java retired from the Sheriff’s Department in 2022 after she served for six years.

    Java was a “loyal, hard working, and beloved member of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. Thoughts and prayers go out to her owner and partner Corporal Spears and his family for their loss.
