9 Santa Rosa County areas under a boil-water notice — what you should know

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — Santa Rosa County officials advise residents to take precautions after a main break in the Bagdad-Garcon Point Water System.

According to a press release, a boil water notice has been issued as a precaution due to the “main break and/or a loss of pressure” that occurred in the Bagdad-Garcon Point Water System.

The notice affects customers on streets, neighborhoods, and subdivisions from the intersection of Yellow Hill Drive and Old Bagdad Highway south to Interstate 10.

This includes the following areas, according to the release:

• Sundial Estates
• Ventura Manor
• Ventura Estates
• Rivers Cove
• Woodbury Forest
• Audiss Road
• Da Lisa Road
• Loves Travel Stop
• Tom Thumb Store

“Bagdad – Garcon Point Water System, Inc. advises that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled,” the release said.

The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows the water is safe to drink.
