Florida's First Pro Bull Riding Team Trains in Hollywood

Florida welcomed its newest sports team last November - the Florida Freedom! They're the state's first-ever professional bull riding team, competing in the pioneering PBR Teams league. This transforms the traditional solo sport of bull riding into an exciting team competition! How cool is this?! To be perfectly honest, I didn't even know that professional bull riding existed at this level! I have seen bull riding at rodeos, of course - who hasn't been to the Homestead Rodeo?! But a real team? This is next level and I am so here for it!

After the Freedom completed the first two seasons in Oklahoma, they made the move in November 2023 to their new home at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida!

The Freedom isn't just the state's only professional bull riding team; they bring a unique dynamic to sports! Head Coach Paulo Crimber leads the team, with standout star John Crimber, his son. John, a teenage phenom, is a generational talent, ranking No. 2 in the World Championship race. He was the top pick in the 2024 PBR Teams New Rider Draft by his father's Florida Freedom. Now, the Crimbers and the talent-packed roster aim to bring Florida its next sporting World Championship!

Before the team hits South Florida for Freedom Days on August 2-4, the Freedom squad is gearing up with an official practice and training camp from June 27-29 in nearby Hollywood!

After two days of training and team-bonding activities, the Freedom is excited to invite the local community to the Hollywood Rodeo Arena at 6pm on Saturday, June 29, for their official team scrimmage! Join us for an evening filled with our team, including Head Coach Paulo Crimber, along with team members and riders John Crimber, Thiago Salgado, Caden Bunch, Casey Roberts, Conner Halverson, and more.
