Stephen A. Smith has called out Diddy for deleting all of his Instagram posts—specifically, his Cassie apology video.

On Monday (June 24), Stephen A. uploaded a new episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show , where the talking head unloaded on the mogul for removing the post, calling him out for the “foolish” move.

“If you had a million photos, if you had a million videos, and you decided to delete 999,999, the [Cassie apology is the one] you should’ve kept up—if you’re sincere…And I know, that you’ve been taking a lot of hits, and there’s been shrapnels of criticism all over the place aimed in your direction. Not that it wasn’t deserved,” Smith asserted. “Although one could argue, the ex that you hit had to deal with a hell of a lot more than you had to deal with in terms of the criticism.”

Smith continued, doubling-down on his previous thoughts. He then offered some advice on what the Bad Boy Records founder should have done, especially after CNN released that 2016 footage . Stephen A. questioned why he wouldn’t want the world to know that he was sorry for his actions and would take steps to eliminate everything uploaded on his page.

“Delete everything else; not that,” he added. “Don’t you want people to know that you were contrite? That you were incredibly sorry? That you have profound regret for the egregious actions that you were caught on camera committing?

“By deleting the video, you throw all of that out the window—the possibility of the very few people that would ever believe that really having a reason to continue to believe you.”

The First Take host previously blasted Sean Combs after CNN released the 2016 video of the disgraced icon battering and stomping Cassie in a hotel. Smith was blunt in his assessment of the situation and declared that Combs was done as a businessman and musician. “I wanna declare, right here, over these digital airwaves of YouTube, that the career of Sean’ P. Diddy’ Combs, as we know it, it’s over,” the ESPN analyst detailed. “ This sh*t is over . It’s over in the worst possible way…One of the worst possible ways you can imagine.”

Stephen A. then began to compare the footage to that of former NFL player Ray Rice, who assaulted his now-wife, Janay Rice, in a hotel elevator in 2014. Rice was primed to be one of the best young running backs in the league before he threw it all away after assaulting his wife. Smith used that point to then determine that Combs’ situation was “worse.”
