'Here We Go!' Lil Nas X says next single is 'best song of all time'

After his biblical return to music earlier this year, followed by a steady stream of teasers (“Hot Box”), Soundcloud drops (“Light Again”), and features Camila Cabello ’s “HE KNOWS”), Lil Nas X is back and “excited to release the best song of all time,” set to arrive Friday, June 28.

Promoting the upcoming single “Here We Go!,” with a post on IG, Lil Nas expressed — “so excited to release the best song of all time this friday! also sorry I’ve been so scared with my art lately. I’m coming around to myself again. I will make you guys very proud.”

Also shared, the single’s cover art, which features a Detroit detective’s badge with Lil Nas X’s photo as Detective Montero. A visual very much on brand for the track that’ll serve as an original song for the Eddie Murphy -led film Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, which arrives on Netflix July 3.
