A hurricane hunter aircraft is scheduled to investigate the system on Monday afternoon. Update (11 p.m. EDT Monday): Invest 91L was upgraded to Potential Tropical Cyclone One at 5 p.m. EDT Monday. A tropical storm watch was issued for a broad swath of the western Gulf Coast from Puerto de Altamira, Mexico, north to Port O’Connor, Texas.
