Angela Yee is exploring the tragedies that changed Hip-Hop forever in a brand-new docu-series.

Tubi recently debuted its new series "Killing Hip Hop" hosted by the radio veteran and podcaster. The four-part series examines the "legacies of artists and the threats they face" throughout their careers. In the first episode, Yee focuses on Young Thug and how the YSL RICO trial has affected his life and the music industry. The rest of the series highlights deceased artists like Yolanda "LaLa" Brown , who was murdered with her producer in 2007. The late Slim 400 , who was murdered in 2021, and Lil Peep , who passed away from a drug overdose, are also covered.

"It was important for me to narrate the Tubi docuseries Killing Hip-hop because this genre of music faces a lot more tragedies than any other," Yee tells iHeartRadio. "I feel a responsibility to shed light on the circumstances leading to the tragic deaths of Lala Brown, Slim 400, Lil Peep, and the ongoing trial of Young Thug. We get to hear from family, friends, and other people, who can hopefully help prevent future tragic events like these."

"Killing Hip Hop" also has guest appearances from YG , Dee-1 , Syleena Johnson , and plenty more music industry insiders who provide their knowledge about each artist and the tragedies that impacted their lives. The docuseries is available to stream now exclusively on Tubi.
