10 Best 4th of July Car Deals in 2024
By David Nadelle,
In just over a week’s time, Americans will celebrate the Declaration of Independence with Fourth of July backyard barbecues, fireworks and long walks around hot dealership lots in search of a new or used car.
Sure, buying a new vehicle isn’t typically associated with the 4th, but it might be a good time to take advantage of a good deal , despite what some naysayers believe.
Talking about an old iSeeCars study, SmartAsset contends that the Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day holidays in April, May and June are the worst months to buy a used car. “But the No. 1 worst day to purchase a used car is the Fourth of July.”
Ideally, if you’re in the market for a new or used car, you want to have the time to browse, discuss and haggle with salespersons. Busy holiday events are counterintuitive to that, but the deals and incentives offered on special sale days are frequently too good to resist, even with the lots jam-packed.
Dealers try to cash in on all holidays now, and while you might find better deals on Memorial Day and Labor Day, you might be pleasantly surprised at the discounts and low MSRPs you can find on the Fourth of July, especially if you’re unsure whether you want a current- or incoming-year model.
Here’s 10 of the best car deals leading up to (and beyond) the Fourth of July holiday weekend:
DREW PHILLIPS / Hyundai
Hyundai Ioniq 6
Deal: 16% off MSRP
Until July 1, you can get 16% off a 2024 Ioniq 6 SEL AWD model, according to Consumer Reports . With a base MSRP of $48,750, this mean a potential savings of $7,987 and a bottom line price of $40,763 for this recommended trim that CR rates as the #1 electric car.
According to CarsDirect , as of June 10, the Ford Bronco Sports model is now eligible for $1,250 in bonus cash, up $500 from the previous rebate of $750. However, there seems to be a big downside to this one: it’s available in California only. Ford runs a $1,000 Competitive Lease Conquest program targeting switching over from a non-Ford/Lincoln/Mercury model and there is $1,000 bonus cash available for 2023 Broncos until Jul. 8, per Carfax. Otherwise, financing and lease deals aren’t overly impressive for this model in general.
Honda is offering 0.99% average percentage rate (APR) financing on factory-certified preowned Accords. This is a great deal for a very popular car, but as CarsDirect notes, this financing deal is limited to loans up to three years. However, this is still cheaper than buying new (a new Accord sedan is 3.9% APR right now). If you’re not convinced, you have time to make up your mind because The HondaTrue Certified+ and HondaTrue Certified Dream Deal sales event runs right before the 4th all the way through September 3.

Ram 1500
Deal: $5,068 MSRP Savings
With a price range between $39,420 and $96,340, there are plenty of 2024 Ram 1500 trims to choose from. CR notes that you won’t have to pay close to $100K to save a healthy 10%. You can get a Ram 1500 Big Horn 4×4 Quad Cab 6’4″ Box model for $43,367, a savings of $5,068, before July 1 at participating dealers.
The Fourth of July might be a good time to buy or lease a new Toyota bz4x, depending on your preference and how much cash you want to put down. Toyota Deals include $259 per month for 36 months with $0 due at signing on 2024 bZ4X XLE models, but this deal expires on July 1. Check the Toyota site for other trim discounts and cash incentives.

Nissan Altima
Deal: 0% Financing for 3 Years
According to U.S. News & World Report , the “sturdy and durable” Altima can be financed at 0% for three years IF you purchase the higher-priced Altima turbo ($35,000 rather than $25,000 for the base mode. If you’re looking to lease an Altima SV in New York, you can do that for as little as $189 for 36 months with $4,179 due at signing ($209 per month for 36 months with $4,189 due at signing elsewhere)).
Deals limited to areas are a bummer to those living across certain state lines. For residents living in Washington D.C., West Virginia, Marland and Virginia shopping for a Jeep Compass — and the Latitude LUX 4×4 trim Compass in particular — a hefty MSRP discount can be yours until July 1 (although CarsDirect believe this deal might be extended). A $7,000 MSRP incentive is available to drivers in those parts of the country, which equals 20%, depending on where you live.

Kia EV6
Deal: 0% for 72 months/$1,500 bonus cash
With its “Unmistakable design, sweet driving dynamics, spacious cabin,” (Car and Driver), the EV6 is a reliable EV that comes with a host of features and a reasonable-to-impressive driving range, depending on the trim. What’s more, you can finance a new EV6 for 0% for 72 months AND get $1,500 bonus cash, per Carfax. The same financing percentage and term (but not the cash bonus) is available for the Niro EV. Both deals expire on July 8.
Hurry to your nearest Audi dealership before July 1 to get a 2024 A4 Premium Plus 40 TFSI Quattro for, get this, $36,886! That’s a $5,014 savings incentive, 12%, off a regular $41,000 MSRP for this luxury sports compact, per CR.

Ford Mustang
Deal: $38,337 After Savings
Getting an iconic 2024 Mustang GT for under $40,000 would be a dream come true for many patriotic Americans. You can make it a reality by making a purchase before July 8, when incentives expire. Your MSRP will drop from an already reasonable $42,460 to $38,337 (a $4,123 savings), per Consumers Reports.
