The 2024 NBA Draft format will look different than it has in previous years. While rounds one and two have typically taken place in one night, they’re split between two days this year. Fans will be able to see the first round on Wednesday, June 26 starting at 7 PM CT and the second round on Thursday, June 27 beginning at 3 PM CT. Here's how to tune in and watch the coverage.
Round 1: Wednesday, June 26
When Is It?
Coverage for the first round of the 2024 NBA draft kicks off at 6:30 PM CT. The draft itself will begin at 7 PM CT.
How to Watch:
TV: ESPN and ABC
Streaming: ESPN+
Who Picks First?
The Atlanta Hawks have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The Chicago Bulls will pick 11th overall in the first round.
Who's No. 1? - There isn’t a consensus No. 1 pick in this year's draft. Zaccharie Risacher, a wing from France, is the betting favorite to head to Atlanta when the draft kicks off, but nothing is set in stone. That would make for two years in a row a French player goes first overall.
Trade Mania? - The Brooklyn Nets traded Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks just before the draft for five first-round picks, an unprotected pick swap in 2028, a second-round pick, and Bojan Bogdanovic. Some are seeing that as a sign of a slew of trades to come on draft night. With the 2024 class considered one of the weakest in recent memory, teams may not feel overly compelled to hold on to their picks.
Round 2: Thursday, June 27
When Is It?
The second round of the 2024 NBA draft starts at 3 PM CT.

Storylines to Watch:
Is Bronny James Drafted? - LeBron James' son, Bronny James , will likely have a lot of eyes on him come Thursday. The 19-year-old guard averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 36.6% from the field and 26.7% from three in his lone season at USC. Those numbers don't scream "draftable" for a 6-foot-2 guard. However, with LeBron's stated desire to play with his son before retiring, a team hoping to have the NBA legend on its roster for the upcoming season could jump at the chance to draft Bronny. That includes the Los Angeles Lakers — LeBron's current team and betting favorites to draft Bronny James.
