    Attempted kidnapping suspect on the loose in Madera County, deputies say

    MADERA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man suspected of an attempted kidnapping is on the loose, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.

    The suspect was last seen on Wednesday, and deputies say he was near the Fresno River around Road 23 and Avenue 15 1/2 in Madera County. The Sheriff’s Office asks that people avoid the area and use caution while they investigate the incident.

    Law enforcement describes the man as a Hispanic adult with dark skin, approximately 5’8″ tall. Deputies say he was last seen shirtless in blue jeans, carrying a white shirt.

    If anyone sees someone matching the suspect’s description, they are asked to stay away and call 9-1-1. Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to call the Madera County Sheriff’s Office at (559) 675-7770.
