FLORIDA TODAY Boys Lacrosse Player of the Year
Michael Howkins scored against every team Holy Trinity played this season.
The athlete whom coach Eric Marr described as "spectacular" finished his boys lacrosse career with the Tigers by signing paperwork committing him to the Montevallo men's lacrosse program in Alabama. His ceremony in the Holy Trinity auditorium started the day of signings across Brevard County on the first Wednesday morning in February.
He is the FLORIDA TODAY Boys Lacrosse player of the 2024 season.
During the year, Howkins scored 63 goals in 18 games, an average of 3.5 an outing. He assisted on 32 more goals and grabbed 30 ground balls. He scored three or more goals 12 times during the 2024 season, and his high was seven against Lake Nona.
Howkins was also named named by FLORIDA TODAY to last year's inaugural All-Space Coast Boys Lacrosse team, and he was voted by coaches to the All-Cape Coast Conference team when he previously played at Cocoa Beach.

Cooper Cohen, Senior, Holy Trinity: Tigers' short stick middle defender handled top opponents.
Justin Cole, Senior, Holy Trinity: Made 215 saves in 327 shots on goal for the season.
Eyden Deibert, Senior, Cocoa Beach: Won 79.4 percent of his faceoffs and grabbed 114 ground balls.
Kyle Fischer, Senior, Viera: Recorded 50 goals and assisted on 26 more.
Mac Goodman, Junior, Viera: Scored 50 goals, recording 61 ground balls and 22 assists.
Connor Hoffman, Junior, Viera: Hoffman led the team in ground balls with 93, scored 19 and assisted on 13.
Michael Howkins, Senior, Holy Trinity: Tigers attacker scored 63 goals and assisted on 32 more.
Cole McNab, Senior, Holy Trinity: Was the top defender for the 2024 Tigers.
Aiden McNamara, Junior, Viera: Scored 36 goals and assisted on 36. Added 40 ground balls.
Killian Rowe, Junior, Satellite: Scored 68 goals for the season and collected 23 ground balls.
Vance Sanger, Freshman, MCC: Let his team with 38 goals and 162 ground balls.
Andrew Turner, Senior, Holy Trinity: Attacker scored 38 goals, assisted on 18 and added 23 ground balls.
Julien Warden, Senior, Holy Trinity: Grabbed 46 ground balls to lead the team and added 32 goals.
Fenn Werder, Junior, Holy Trinity: Scored 33 goals and assisted on 21 for the season. Had 34 ground balls.
