GloRilla has revealed one of her greatest decisions since making her presence known in the music world.

The Memphis, TN-born artist, born Gloria Hallelujah Woods, is known for her 2022 single “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” produced by Hitkidd, as AFROTECH™ previously reported. The song sold more than 1 million records, reached the top spot on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and climbed to No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100, per Revolt.

”It didn’t take the song long to blow up. It blew up in like three days,” GloRilla said during an interview on “The Shop” podcast. “So, I was just traveling the world like two days after I dropped that song ‘cause all the labels were calling me everywhere. So yeah, my life changed, changed right after I dropped that song.”

After that, GloRilla set out to prove she would not be a one-hit wonder through the release of “Tomorrow” and its remix with Cardi B; “Yeah Glo!”; “Wanna Be” with Megan Thee Stallion; and most recently “TGIF.”

GloRilla credits her success to more than just her own efforts. She signed to Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group (CMG) in 2022, which she cites as one of her best career decisions, per “The Shop.”

“I got a great team like Gotti. I’m actually glad I signed him. I feel like that’s one of the best decisions I made right now because like, he always got an eye out for everything,” she said on the podcast. “ Gotti, like, he a hood… he from the hood, but he like, got a lot of sense. Like, he’s super smart, and so I’m glad I got him and my team as an engine behind me.”

Yo Gotti has been vocal about his role as a music executive and the importance of helping his artists succeed, not only on the charts but also in business. “One of the things I do, we make sure that first time we give you a dollar, we give you money, make sure you’re doing this, and we even advise certain things, ‘Make sure you get you a CPA,’” he said during an interview with podcast “Earn Your Leisure.” “I’m givin’ you the information, like, ‘Yo, you need this’ and ‘This why,’ and I’m giving them examples. ‘This is what happened to me. This what happens, so make sure this don’t happen to you.’”
