Body of missing kayaker recovered at Colorado reservoir

According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the body of a missing kayaker was recovered from Lon Hagler Reservoir on Wednesday evening. It does not appear that the kayaker was wearing a life jacket at the time the kayaker entered the water.

Officials have not confirmed the deceased kayaker's identity, but have noted that the body that was recovered is believed to be the missing kayaker who crews were searching for at the same reservoir earlier in the day, with that man said to have been planning to kayak during the late afternoon of June 25.

Agencies involved in the search and recovery include the CPW Marine Evidence Recovery Team with assistance from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, Larimer County Search and Rescue, Larimer County Emergency Services, Larimer County Department of Natural Resources, Loveland Fire Rescue Fire Authority, and Poudre Fire Authority.
