    UPDATE: Section of I-80 reopens after storm repairs

    UPDATE: Both east and west lanes have reopened. However, drivers are being warned that traffic in those areas may be heavy for some time, according to the Jefferson County Department of Emergency Services.


    JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A section of Interstate 80 will be closed Thursday afternoon for emergency repairs.

    Jefferson County Emergency Management said I-80 will be closed June 27 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to replace downed power lines from Wednesday night’s storms.

    East Bound : I-80 traffic will be detoured off at Exit 86 (Reynoldsville), with the detour route being SR 322 through Reynoldsville.

    West Bound : I-80 traffic will be detoured off at Exit 97 (DuBois/Brockway) and detoured SR 219 North to SR 28 South through Brockway.
