Chris Cuomo Declares Trump and Biden Are ‘Embarrassment’ to the Country After Debate: ‘I Actually Felt Bad for the Moderators’

NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo dismissed President Joe Biden and Donald Trump as embarrassments to the country following their CNN debate.

“If either of you performed the way either of them did tonight, you’d be out of a job,” Cuomo told his colleagues Elizabeth Vargas and Dan Abrams, founder of Mediaite, after the debate.

Abrams declared there was “no way to say Joe Biden had a good night,” adding the fallout remain to be seen.

At the debate, moderated by Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, both candidates accused the other of being the “worst” president in history and even bickered about their golf game at one point.

Cuomo chalked both the president and former president up to embarrassments for the country.

“The bar has gotten so low that my hope is that for all you guys at home who are watching this, you looked at that stage, you saw a guy who is a sick man and you saw a guy who is arguably a bad man on the stage at the same time, and I really hope the conclusion is a resounding we have to do better than this,” he said. “These two men are an embarrassment to the United States of America and that debate was an embarrassment. I actually felt bad for the moderators.”
