    Suspect arrested after man found shot to death in Greenville Co.

    GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A suspect has been arrested after a man was killed in a shooting early Friday morning in Greenville County.

    The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office charged 31-year-old Austin Lee Kellam with possession of a weapon during a violent crime and the murder of 35-year-old William Travis Madden, of Hodges.

    Before 2 a.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Aklavik Court in reference to the fatal shooting. Once at the scene, deputies located Madden with at least one gunshot wound inside a vehicle.

    It was reported that Madden and Kellam were arguing when Kellam presented a firearm and shot Madden.

    Madden was pronounced dead at the scene according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.

    Kellam was apprehended and booked into the Greenville County Detention Center where he awaits bond.

    Madden’s death remains under investigation by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
