Haas Factory Team’s top candidate for NASCAR Cup Series ride in 2025 revealed

Haas Factory Team is a new NASCAR Cup Series team led by Gene Haas and Joe Custer. The organization will have one charter from Stewart-Haas Racing and field two cars in the NASCAR Xfinity Series next year. However, which driver could compete for Haas Factory Team in the Cup Series? The answer shouldn’t be too shocking.

According to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass, it would stand to reason that Cole Custer is the top candidate to join Haas Factory Team as the full-time driver in 2025. With Custer leading the NASCAR team, seeing the 2023 Xfinity Series champion linked to the open ride makes sense. Custer has run well since being demoted from the Cup Series following the 2022 NASCAR season.

Currently, no drivers have been linked to Haas Factory Team’s two-car operation in the Xfinity Series, but several drivers, such as Ryan Preece, make sense on the surface. After winning the Xfinity Series championship, Custer deserves another opportunity in the Cup Series, and Haas Factory Team would be the perfect situation for him.
