Megan Thee Stallion’s metamorphosis, 'MEGAN' has officially arrived

After slithering into her new era with snake-themed singles "HISS," "COBRA," and the Gwen Stefani -sampling “BOA.” Megan Thee Stallion ’s highly anticipated, 18-track third studio album, MEGAN , has officially dropped.

Ahead of its release, when talking to Women’s Health about the album back in April, Megan said, “I was inspired to create this album about rebirth because I feel I am becoming a new person physically and mentally.”

Then discussing the project the following month during an interview with L’OFFICIEL , Megan expressed, “This is music I would like if I wasn’t Megan Thee Stallion. I don’t want to say I’m tapping into other genres. I’m just tapping into other sounds. But it’s still very much Megan Thee Stallion. It won’t feel like I went so left. It’ll feel true to me. You’ll almost be like, ‘I wouldn’t have thought she would’ve rapped over that, but this sounds great.’”

Featuring five collabs in total, including Victoria Monét on “Spin,” a UGK reunion with Bun B and the late Pimp C on “Paper Together,” a collab with tour mate GloRilla on “Accent.” As well as features with Kyle Richh on “B.A.S.”, and a track called “Mamushi,” with Yuki Chiba (formerly known as Kohh).

The arrival of MEGAN marks the rap star’s first indie release under her independent music and entertainment company Hot Girl Productions , with distribution by Warner Music Group .

Next up on Megan’s schedule is wrapping the U.S. run of her Hot Girl Summer Tour on July 3 in Charlotte. She’ll then head to Europe for several dates before returning form across the pond for Lollapalooza and Broccoli City Festival .
