    Pair of missing Shelby Valley kids found

    SHELBY VALLEY, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — According to the Kentucky State Police, both 12-year-olds have been safely located.

    A search is underway for two missing children, who were last seen on Thursday in the Shelby Valley community of Pike County.

    According to the Kentucky State Police Department (KSP), 12-year-old Mollie Evans and 12-year-old Layla Johnson of Sheby Valley were reported missing on Friday after last being seen around 11 p.m. Thursday.

    Mollie Evans was described by KSP as a white female who is 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and pajama pants. (KSP)

    Layla Johnson is a white female, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and gray sweatpants, per authorities. (KSP)

    Evans and Johnson were both last seen around 11 p.m. on Thursday, according to authorities. (KSP)

    Law enforcement said anyone with information that could aid in finding the children is asked to call the KSP Pikeville Post at (606) 433-7711.
