Darwin Nunez has national media raving after Uruguay goal in Copa America

Darwin Nunez is on fire for Uruguay, netting in his seventh consecutive international match.

The Liverpool ace was instrumental in Uruguay's thumping 5-0 victory over Bolivia on Thursday, securing its spot in the Copa America quarter-finals. Nunez , who also scored against Panama, is set to continue his scoring spree if he plays against the USA next Tuesday.

Back home, the Uruguayan press are singing praises for the Reds' No. 9 following his latest performance. El Observador awarded Nunez an eight out of ten, stating: "Another that performed tremendously. He converted in his seventh consecutive game and even missed some more situations."

Echoing this sentiment, El Pais added: "Incisive, dangerous and putting a lot of pressure on the defenders. He had the chances to score, but he couldn't take advantage of them. Of course, perhaps the most difficult of all he ended up taking advantage of with a great left-footed shot that beat the rival goalkeeper."
