Childish Gambino World Tour: Where To Find Tickets
By Jonathan Zavaleta,
The past few years have been quiet for Childish Gambino, as Donald Glover put his rap alter-ego on the backburner to focus on acting, appearing in shows like Atlanta and Mr. and Mrs. Smith . Now Childish Gambino is back with two new albums and a world tour, starting with North American dates in August.
The North American leg of The New World Tour kicks off on Aug 11 in Oklahoma City and wraps up in Chicago on Oct 3, with stops in major cities like New York, Houston, Vancouver, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. After that, Glover will set off for Europe and Australasia. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster , with many tickets already hitting resale. Resale tickets are also available on StubHub and Vivid Seats . These sites carry legitimate, trustworthy resale tickets, and tickets for his first date in Oklahoma are available starting at $67. Plus, Rolling Stone readers can take $20 off orders over $200 at Vivid Seats with code RS2024 .
Childish Gambino announced the tour on May 13 on X (formerly Twitter), the day after he announced the release of two albums, Atavista and Bando Stone in the New World . Glover called Atavista the “finished version” of 3.15.20, released in 2020. He added, “The all new Childish Gambino album comes out in the summer.” He stated that Bando would be his final release as Childish Gambino, following through on plans to retire the moniker. The last time Donald Glover toured was in 2019, making this tour the latest (and perhaps final) chance to see him tour as Childish Gambino.
How To Get Childish Gambino Tickets
Ticket availability varies by city, and some arenas already only have resale tickets. Prices, seats, and availability vary by seller, so it’s worth checking different sellers to find the best prices and seats. Childish Gambino will be supported by Willow on the North American leg of the tour, with Amaarae taking over as the opening act for the European, New Zealand, and Australia dates. Fans can get the first taste of Childish Gambino’s new album on July 2, when the single “Lithonia,” named after the city in the Atlanta metro area, is set to drop.
As for what fans can expect musically, Glover said in an Instagram live, “This rollout that’s coming, it’s mostly about fun.” In the video, he also quickly weighed in on the Kendrick Lamar/Drake feud, calling it “fun” and saying he “enjoyed every minute of it,” but adding, “Still, it’s kind of negative in a certain light.
