Melissa McCarthy served up a glamorous look for an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday.
The Oscar-nominated actress wore a black dress featuring ruffle appliques across the bodice and sleeves, showcasing a popcorn-like texture throughout. The fitted, off-the-shoulder look, dubbed the Luna , is courtesy of designer Mara Hoffman and originally retailed for $1,125 on the brand’s website.

McCarthy styled the mid-length dress with sleek black pumps boasting glossy patent leather uppers and skinny stiletto heels measuring around 4 inches, which gave the petite star a lift. The timeless pointed silhouette was finished with a slender slingback heel strap.

The “Bridesmaids” star accessorized her eye-catching ensemble with an assortment of glitzy diamond bracelets and rings, hoop earrings and a kitschy top-handle bag designed to look like a single-slice pizza box. The boxy white bag ($498) courtesy of Kate Spade is embellished with sequins and ornamental topping shakers and reads “NYC Pizza” on the front.
During her appearance on the late-night talk show, she chatted with Martin Short , who was in character as Jiminy Glick. The comedians did several bits and McCarthy discussed her role as an investor in the Broadway musical “Suffs.”
When it comes to fashion, McCarthy , who often works with stylist Katja Cahill , embraces vibrant colors, bold prints, metallic materials and platform shoes. Attending the 2024 Tribeca Festival in New York City earlier this month, she popped on the red carpet in a white blouse with a colorful floral print, white trousers and white leather pumps.
Then, at the “Unfrosted” premiere in April, she donned a striking floral gown with Valentino Rockstud pumps. She paired the flamboyant pink, green and red gown with pointy white leather caged heels embellished with the brand’s signature gold metal pyramid studs.
