U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced that it will temporarily extend the hours of operation for the SENTRI Trusted Traveler Program vehicle lanes at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry beginning Friday.

Normal hours of operation of 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. will continue Monday through Thursday, CBP said in a statement. The hours of operation are expanding on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 4 a.m. to midnight.

“To enhance our service for Trusted Traveler Program members, vehicular traffic operating hours are temporarily expanding,” said Rosa E. Hernandez, Otay Mesa port director.

“This extension aims to streamline wait times during the summer season while facilitating a more seamless border crossing experience for travelers utilizing the Otay Mesa Port of Entry.”

Border wait times can be monitored here. Wait times are updated on an hourly basis.
