Dangerous heat followed by strong storms

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A heat advisory has been issued for most of Middle Tennessee and Trigg, Todd and Christian Counties in Southern Kentucky through 8pm Saturday. Feels like temperatures have reached between 105 to 108 degrees. This is dangerous heat, so drink plenty of water and take breaks in the A/C.

Strong storms are possible late Saturday night into early Sunday morning. There is a marginal risk (1/5) for areas along Interstate 40 and north.

This line of storms will move southeastward into Middle TN and Southern KY. As it moves towards I-40, the line will weaken.

The main threats with these storms will be heavy rain, wind and lightning.

More storms will develop Sunday afternoon and last through the evening. These storms will most likely impact areas south of I-40. Some of these storms could be strong.
