Simone Biles once again proved she's the best in the world during the first night of the U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials on June 28.

Unsurprisingly, Biles finished the evening in first place with a 2.5 lead over Jordan Chiles. A huge reason she has such a dominant lead is because of her vault, the Yurchenko double pike.

While Biles took a step back during the landing, she earned the 15.975, the highest score of the night, which included a 9.75 for execution.

Because the move is so dangerous, viewers expected her coach to stand by on the landing mat. However, Biles pulled off the jaw-dropping move solo.

Biles was expected to do this vault at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, however, she didn't get a chance to perform it. The 27-year-old ultimately withdrew from competition after suffering from "the twisties."

The nine-time national champion first performed this vault at the 2021 GK U.S. Classic, and it was thus dubbed the Biles II on Vault. During the vault, she does two backflips with straight legs after doing a round-off back handspring from the spring board.

Of course, that wasn't the only routine Biles wowed with at the U.S. Olympic Trials on Friday night. Her floor routine to Taylor Swift's "Ready For It?" which includes a clip from "Delresto (Echoes)" by Travis Scott and Beyoncé. brought the house down.

Biles earned a 14.850 for her floor routine The women's competition for the U.S. Olympic Gymnastic Trials in Minneapolis concludes on Sunday, June 30.
