A tourist missing in Spain following a Pride festival was seen at a hostel and roaming the streets after having his possessions stolen, according to his family.

Ryan Anthony, a US national, is believed to have disappeared while on a trip with friends in Barcelona, having left his home in Texas back on April 10. Sister Kayli used Facebook to ask for help, explaining he had been missing for two weeks after saying he was going to a festival in the coastal town of Sitges.

The 31-year-old's sister claimed that calls and messages were not going through to his phone and that police launched an investigation into his disappearance as a report was filed with the US embassy. The Sun has now reported that Ryan was allegedly seen at a hostel recently during what is believed to be a mental health crisis.

His passport, wallet and phone are believed to have been stolen. Aunt Jackie Herman has now started a GoFundMe to cover the cost of mom Kim going to Spain to try and find him.

Writing on the page, she said: "Ryan left for Barcelona , Spain April 10th , to pursue his love for teaching abroad.

"Ryan struggles with mental health issues and is in crisis right now. He has been able to balance things and lead a productive life thus far, despite his struggles.

"He has been missing for almost two weeks, my sister is working with detectives in her hometown in Texas, as well as the US Embassy in Spain. Due to my niece's outreach on social media and the awesome community in Spain, a woman at a hostel recognized his picture, we received word last night that he has been seen and is alive.

"He was not looking well and in crisis. His wallet, phone, and passport have all been stolen.

"He has been sleeping in the lobby of hostel at night and wandering streets during the day. We pray he is located again."

The aunt said the donations will also help cover any medical costs as Ryan has no medical insurance in the country. "If you are unable to help, please just pray for his safety, and my sister's safety as she embarks on this emotional journey," she continued.

"Kim and her husband Keith are both cancer survivors, she 2x , with RA, he is currently battling Multiple Myeloma and unable to make the trip with her. This is a very hard ask, they are very private people, and no one ever expects this to happen in their family."

So far, the page has raised over $6,500 of a target of $20,000. Ryan's sister has previously said she had been working with Spanish law enforcement.

She wrote online: "It is not like him to not check in with any of his family, and all our calls and texts are not delivering.

"He is about 6 foot tall and the nicest person. If anyone has come in contact recently or knows where he is, PLEASE message me or notify the US embassy."

Kayli also claimed she had not heard back from the friends he was at the festival with since he went missing. Ryan is described as six foot tall, weighing 185lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

The 31-year-old also has a big black-and-red bird tattoo on his left arm. His disappearance comes after reports Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputy Albert Calibet is still missing in Greece after going on a solo hike on the island of Amorgos.

The 58-year-old is said to have left Aegiali last Tuesday at about 7am and not been seen since. Los Angeles County' search and rescue teams came back to Southern California this week, having spent over a week in Greece to look for him.
