Southeast Wisconsin Weather: Sunny Monday morning and rainy Tuesday

Give the AC a break and open the windows; overnight lows will drop into the 50s with low humidity levels. Skies will be clear, but a few areas of patchy fog may develop in low-lying areas by Monday morning.

Monday will be beautiful with lots of sun early, clouds will increase through the day. Highs will only make it into the low 70s lakeside and mid-70s inland, around 10 degrees below normal for early July.

We are back Tuesday to wet weather with off-and-on rain and storms much of the day. Unfortunately, heavy rain could be an issue, exacerbating ongoing flood problems on some area waterways. Depending on the exact set-up and rain pattern, some places could see up to 2" of rain (while other places may see very little). Highs Tuesday will be in the upper 70s with increasing humidity and gusty winds.

A few showers will linger Wednesday morning, but most of the day looks dry. It will be rather warm with highs in the mid-80s and high humidity.

Scattered rain and storms are possible on Thursday the 4th and Friday (but neither day looks like a washout). Highs hover around 80 to close out the week.
