She replied: 'You gotta give it that HAWK TUAH, ' followed by a spit and the phrase, 'Spit on that thang.' X users have pointed out that her technique bears a striking resemblance to one used by Laura, a character from The Simpsons who Bart Simpson had a crush on in a Season 4 episode.
Both women share a unique method of driving men crazy - spitting in their hands. The episode featuring Bart's fleeting infatuation first aired back in 1992.
Towards the end of the episode, Laura and Bart are sitting on the pavement when she tells him she's going to 'tell his fortune.' Taking Bart's hand, Laura quickly brings a smile to his face by predicting he will become wealthy.
She even suggests a mansion with a tennis court lies in Bart's future. But Bart is left almost speechless when Laura spits in the palm of his hand.
After she departs, Bart gazes at the saliva on his hand and declares: 'I will never wash this hand again.' Bart takes this vow seriously, even claiming the hand has taken control of him after Lisa Simpson complains to their father.
Laura only appears in two episodes of The Simpsons, with her final appearance being in archived footage in 1994. X users have been sharing the spit-handshake scene and making light-hearted comments about its link to the Hawk Tuah girl.
"Bart falls in love after she spits on that thang... or Bart's hand anyway," one X user posted.
