In 1984, Arleen Sorkin made her Days of Our Lives debut as the delightfully quirky Calliope Jones, whose pairing with John de Lancie's Eugene Bradford captivated fans. Sorkin earned two Daytime Emmy nominations as Outstanding Supporting Actress for the role and took home a whopping four Soap Opera Digest Awards: Outstanding New Actress in a Daytime Serial in 1985, Outstanding Actress in a Supporting Role in a Daytime Serial in 1985, Outstanding Comic Relief Role on a Daytime Serial in 1986, and Outstanding Comic Performance by an Actress: Daytime in 1988.
