    Two arrested after alleged fraud attempt, police chase

    ( WJET/WFXP ) — Two people were arrested in Venango County after police said they tried to fraudulently take money out of a Pennsylvania man’s bank account.

    Troopers from PSP Franklin were first called on June 14 to the Northwest Savings Bank in Cranberry Township for what staff believed to be an attempt to use a fraudulent ID to withdraw $4,000 from an account.

    When police arrived they said a car matching the description of the one driven by the two suspects leaving a nearby Taco Bell and attempted to initiate a stop.

    The driver then allegedly took off and a chase ensued headed west on US 322 before the driver crashed into two stopped vehicles at the intersection with Home Depot Dr.

    Both actors, identified only as 42-year-old Julian James of the Bronx, NY man, and Lluwakayode Ajayi of 25-year-old Moon Twp., PA tried to flee on foot but were quickly caught and taken into custody.

    Both men have been charged with forgery, access device fraud, theft by deception, identity theft, fleeing/eluding and attempting to evade arrest on foot and have been arraigned in Venango County Court with bail being denied.
