Dwyane Wade Drops Blunt Truth Bomb About Caitlin Clark's WNBA Treatment

NBA legend Dwyane Wade knows what it takes to procure a successful basketball career.

And on a recent episode of his "The Why" podcast, the Miami Heat icon noted why WNBA veterans haven't been as welcoming of Caitlin Clark as may have been expected.

"This Caitlin Clark conversation with everyone hazing, I'm lookin' at it like, I know what happened my rookie year when I came in. 'You gonna hit that ground. You bout to feel this ground if you think you bout to keep coming in here,'" Wade said.

"People say hazing, but this is all a part of, 'Hey, you gotta show us that you built for this league.' This is basketball. You're talking about some of the greatest athletes in women's sports," Wade added.

"What do you think they're gonna do? You think they're going to just let someone come in and just 'Go ahead, give us 30!'"

Wade's sentiment makes sense. And it will be fascinating to see how Clark is received by veterans Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner during Sunday's contest between the Phoenix Mercury and Indiana Fever.
