    Woman killed in Limestone County crash identified

    LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A woman who died following a single-vehicle crash that happened on Saturday afternoon has been identified.

    According to Limestone County Coroner Mike West, the crash happened along Sewell Road west of AL-127 around 2:52 p.m. West tells News 19 that the woman was ejected from the vehicle.

    The woman was identified by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) as 59-year-old Deborah McMurtrey. Troopers say a 2014 Toyota Sequoia that McMurtrey was driving left the road, hit a utility pole, and then hit a tree.

    According to ALEA, McMurtrey was pronounced dead at the scene.
