    Crews respond to fire in rural Sacramento County

    (FOX40.COM) — A “fast-moving” grass fire is threatening structures in a rural area in northern Sacramento County, according the Sacramento Fire Department.

    The department posted on its X account at 2:37 p.m. on Saturday that crews arrived to a fast moving grass fire on the 7300 block of E Levee Road near Rio Linda.

    Photos shared by the department show a fire with a large plume of smoke burning in a largely dry grass area.

    When crews arrive, officials said the fire started at one acre and quickly grew to four acres.

    No injuries are reported at this time, officials said.
