    Harrison County structure fire ‘suspicious’ deputy chief says

    UPDATE, JUNE 29, 7:07 P.M.:

    CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department deputy chief has described the Wilsonburg Road structure fire as “suspicious.”

    A 12 News reporter on the scene spoke with Deputy Chief Ken McNemar Jr. of the Reynoldsville VFD who confirmed that no one was injured and the fire was now under control, stating the structure was used for storage by a local.

    He also stated that the Fire Marshal would be investigating the cause of the fire, which has not been determined. Wilsonburg Road is still closed.


    ORIGINAL, JUNE 29, 6:26 P.M.:

    CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Wilsonburg Road is closed as multiple agencies respond to a structure fire in Clarksburg.

    According to the Harrison County 911 log a report of a structure fire on Wilsonburg Road came in just before 6 p.m. 911 officials confirmed that multiple departments are on scene with a working fire.

    Officials stated that the fire was near other structures but had not spread. Wilsonburg Road is closed at this time.

    Anmoore, Nutter Fort, Reynoldsville, Salem and Spelter fire departments, along with Harrison County EMS have responded.
