Some strong storms possible Sunday plus more heat

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Some strong storms are possible Sunday. The first round moved through this morning north of I-40. The second round will come through in the afternoon tapping into energy unused from this morning south of I-40. Some storms could be severe.

The main threats with these storms will be heavy rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.

Storms storm this morning moved north of I-40 but have continued to fall apart as they move eastward. Then, another round of storms develops after 1 p.m. south of I-40 and moves out through the evening.

In addition to the storms, a Heat Advisory will be in effect from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday for counties south of I-40. Feels like temps could be up to 109 degrees!
