CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Sunday is quickly off to a warm start and Storm Team 2 says the Lowcountry will be under a heat advisory.

Temperatures are forecasted to be in the low 90s with a heat index quickly climbing into the triple digits.

“After your 10 o’clock hour most of us are going to be dealing with heat index values of 108 or higher and that meets the criteria, for 2 hours or more, for a heat advisory,” says meteorologist Grace Lowe.

Storm Team 2 says there is a risk of scattered showers Sunday afternoon.
