Meghan Markle Feels ‘Under Attack’ and ‘Isolated’ After Recent Interview

Meghan Markle has not had it as easy as she’d hoped when she and Prince Harry first chose to relocate to the United States in 2020. The two were tired of the press’ treatment of Meghan and of not being given a voice in the royal family. But by the time the two got married, Meghan had almost no relationship with her father, Thomas Markle , and things have not improved since she left the royal family. Now, reports suggest the duchess feels attacked and “isolated” after Thomas’ recent interview.

Meghan Markle reportedly feels ‘under attack’ after her father’s latest interview

The Duchess of Sussex once had a close relationship with her father. She is the only child of Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle, and her father has gushed about her in the past. But everything changed after Meghan met Harry, and her father was caught staging paparazzi pictures. The two haven’t had a relationship since.

Thomas recently went on record in an interview with Daily Mail , where he spoke about his daughter and grandchildren. “The one person I most want to hear from, Meghan, won’t be in touch,” Thomas said, also adding that he “would love to meet” his grandchildren.

Now, a source tells Ok! Magazine UK , “It’s been a hard week for Meghan and she feels like she’s constantly under attack. The revelations about her and her dad’s private talks have been hard as she thought she had moved on from that.”

The source added that Meghan’s lack of a relationship with Harry’s family and her own (though Meghan is still close with her mother, Doria Ragland) has left her feeling “quite isolated.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle likely won’t patch things up with their families

It’s been six years since Meghan has spoken to her father; she hasn’t had much of a relationship with her half siblings in quite a long time. At this point, it seems unlikely that Meghan will develop any kind of relationship with those family members any time soon. The duchess has her mother, and that might be enough, though anything is possible.

Prince Harry has had a number of opportunities to grow closer with his father and brother, and despite saying he loves his family back in an interview in February, the prince has hardly seen them. Meghan has not returned to the United Kingdom with Harry since 2022, so it seems she doesn’t have much of a relationship with her in-laws.

Of course, it’s impossible to say if Harry and Meghan will ever heal the relationships with their respective family members, but based on what’s happened over the last six years, it seems hard to believe things could be mended.
