A motorcyclist had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day in Chisago County this weekend.

In a "Saturday Afternoon Shenanigans" post on Facebook, the Chisago County Sheriff's Office said a deputy stopped a motorcycle for speeding, with the rider taking his "sweet time" to pull over, kicking off a comical — and thankfully not fatal — chain of events.

When asked by the deputy to give his name, the rider answered with a name that later turned out to belong to his brother. According to the sheriff's office, the suspect soon sped off from the deputy, and a chase ensued.

A few miles down the road, the motorcyclist found himself "inadvertently attempting an Evel Knievel" in the "Chisago County round-a-bout jumping competition!"

The man "failed to stick his landing and did not set any records," instead crashing into the roundabout.

The sheriff's office says the suspect then "decided to try the 100 yd dash on foot" but deputies caught up with him, and he was soon captured.

He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and was expected to be booked into jail, while the motorcycle will be held pending forfeiture.

Authorities say the bike did not have valid registration. The rider, meanwhile, "did not have a valid license and is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol."

The sheriff's office closed the post with a quote from the great daredevil himself:

As the late great Evel Knievel once said: “Anyone can jump a motorcycle. The trouble begins when you try to land it.”
