Taraji P. Henson has made it clear whose side she was on in the Drake versus Kendrick Lamar feud while hosting the 2024 BET Awards —and it seems like she's sticking with the California rapper.

The actress opened the BET Awards on Sunday, June 30, by doing a rendition of Kendrick's hit "Not Like Us," which was originally a diss track against Drake. She hit the stage in jeans and a red hoodie, similar to the outfit that the Compton star wore to his Kendrick Lamar's The Pop Out – Ken & Friends Concert, which streamed on Prime Video earlier this month.

"This is about us, this is about us," the actress rapped, switching up the lyrics. "This industry has been hating on us since the beginning," she also added. "Don't even get me started on nepotism."

Viewers gave the host her props, with some sharing laughing GIFs, and writing: "Not Taraji doing the Not Like Us performance."

"Not Like Us" being the opener for one of the biggest award shows celebrating hip hop was also taken as a sign that Kendrick came out victorious in the battle. "So it’s safe to say Kendrick won the battle lol #BETAwards," one fan shared. Another viewer added that Drake was taking a lot of losses tonight.

Another responded to that saying: "Definitely is, especially with Taraji poppin out with her own 'Not like us' and dancing with [DJ] Mustard."

Later on in the show, Taraji went over the past months of 2024 and what the topic of each month was and mentioned Drake and Kendrick's beef. "I don't need to say nothing there," the actress said. She then appeared in a video about voting with Vice President Kamala Harris where they both quoted "Not Like Us" a few times.

Celebrities have been picking their sides ever since the beef began earlier this year. Lebron James, Russell Westbrook, Tia Mowry, and more, have all come out in support of Kendrick by attending the concert or sharing videos singing along to the diss track.
