Tanner Adell's fans were raging during the 2024 BET Awards as the beloved country singer was abruptly cut off mid-performance by a commercial break.

During the annual award show Tanner brought fresh energy and life to the ceremony as she broke up the hip hop performances with her chart-topping it Buckle Bunny. During the show, Tanner looked breathtaking as she stepped out in a sexy all-white lace look paired with pumps and silk gloves.

And while the Kentucky-native was getting the crowd on their feet for the fun-loving country tune, the BET Awards suddenly cut off her song early and jumped to a commercial break mid-lyric. Fans everywhere were up in arms by the "disrespectful" move by the network believing that they were unfairly targeting the country music genre and not giving it the same respect as hip hop.

After her show was cut short fans took to X, formerly Twitter, sharing their fury over the move. One viewer wrote: "that’s rude af cutting off Tanner like that. BET does not respect genres that aren’t rap or rnb. they could have aired her whole performance and cut back on the corny skits." Another added: "I don’t like how they cut away from Tanner Adell’s performance! They better NOT do the same to Shaboozey!" And a third wrote: "@BET is soo disrespectful, how is it y’all had those kids performing on the main stage and not Tanner Adell?! Only to then cut her performance with ads?!"

Tanner is an up-and-coming artist in the country music genre just entered the music scene three years ago after relocating to Nashville, Tennessee. Since then, her career has taken off as her popular hit Buckle Bunny became an immediate hit and was named one of the best songs of the year by NPR.
